Dinner Sleigh Ride
Take a horse-drawn ride to our cozy dining cabin where you will enjoy a delicious three-course ranch menu accompanied with live guitar music. Warm up with hearty elk chili and cornbread. Main course includes savory roast beef and rustic roasted root vegetables, and finish your meal with a homemade peach berry cobbler topped with whipped cream. After dinner, your tour continues through a tree-lit ponderosa pine forest as the horses return you to the starting point. Approximate 2 hour duration.

Public Scenic Rides
Your one-hour venture includes a meet-and-greet with the draft horses and driver, a warm beverage, and photographing opportunities. This unforgettable scenic horse-drawn ride takes place on a secluded ranch setting offering mountain, meadow, and lake views. Evenings offer the added glow of special lights along the tour. Ride duration is approximately 40-45 minutes.

Romance of the Rockies Ride
Enjoy an intimate and sweet evening with your loved ones with a private horse-drawn ride package. Snuggle up in a keepsake Sherpa blanket, indulge in chocolate truffles and sparkling drink with signature engraved tumblers as you travel through our tree-lit forest and surroundings. Our horse-drawn rides are appropriate for all age groups and can accommodate guests with mobility issues. No weight limits are required to participate. Reservations strongly recommended, as seating is limited.

We are located at 700 Honey Bee Place, home of Elk Trace Bed & Breakfast. Follow the signs off of Piedra Road and turn left at the first driveway entrance at Elk Trace, near the horse barns.

Fill up on a delicious BBQ menu of smoked beef brisket sandwiches, baked beans, coleslaw, chips, lemonade, and s'mores around the campfire. Includes scenic wagon ride, guitar entertainment, outdoor games, and plenty of memories. Offered May through mid-September. Approximate 1.5 hour duration.

Best wedding experience I could imagine! We decided to get married at the property adjoining Buckaroos and decided to reach out to see about having the wagon rides for our guests. I didn’t realize at the time that they offered a whole package of rides, food, music, lawn games. From the start, working with Buck was a pleasure. He gave us a tour of the route the horses would take, thoroughly explained all of our options and followed up on every detail to make sure we had everything we wanted. I had 100% faith in Buck and his staff - zero stress about this part of the wedding. The drivers for the wagons were friendly, explained a lot about the horses and their personalities, and kept us all entertained and relaxed. It was evident that our happiness for the day was their primary concern. Their chef was wonderful too when I accidentally ambushed him preparing for another event. He let me try a couple of things he was preparing so I wouldn’t be worried about the food. It was just wonderful. We had such a wonderful, relaxed time. I couldn’t have asked for more professionalism and kindness from this wonderful business. If you’re considering any event in a picturesque setting like Pagosa Springs, I highly recommend you check out Buckaroos!
